Hi, I’m looking for a program that converts doc files to pdf just as good as acrobat. Criterias include:
– The size after conversion should be small or reasonable size.
- The links I embed in the word file should be clickable in pdf.
- The looks and quality of the pdf looks great!
If you have an experience of using something superb, please share here. Thanks!

Q1:You know those Bookmarks in the left side that appear for easy navigation. I’m searching for a free software (I don’t have Adobe Acrobat and i Don’t want to buy one). I can create pdf using doPDF but i can’t still put bookmarks. I tried adding bookmarks in word (Insert>bookmarks), still when i open the pdf with Adober Reader, there is still no bookmarks.
Q2:How can i keep the hyperlinks in a pdf? After i convert the doc to pdf using doPDF, there is no hyperlinks.
Q3:Is there a free software that can do what Adobe Acrobat can? It can create, edit pdf etc.
Q4:If you were to create a help file, how would you do it? .pdf,.html,.chm,.doc,.txt?
Thanks.
Thanks RickyRedWood but still i would like to know how to add bookmarks on pdf without using Adobe Acrobat and other paid software.

I need a program to convert Word documents to pdf files and was wondering if there is something out there besides Adobe Acrobat. I don’t want to pay their exorbitant prices!

I have some pdfs that are essentially printouts of powerpoint slides (6 per page). The slides also are formatted to contain themes/backgrounds. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of the excess formatting so that only the text remains? I’ve tried using foxit pdf editor and adobe acrobat but can’t seem to remove it.

I have a PDF document that I need to modify the graphics. The document is set up as a form and has text fields for the various items on the document.
I am using Adobe Acrobat 6. I have paint.net selected as the image and object editor in preferences but it says that it doesn’t recognize the image format. Is there a free image editor that I can use to change image items in Acrobat 6?

I have a series of Pdf images that I am viewing in Adobe Acrobat. I need them to be 12% as big as they currently are.
I can save them as jpeg and keep the majority of the quality but as soon as i scale them down the quality becomes very poor.
I’ve got microsoft photo editor and paint.net on this computer but both seem to produce the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been using the standard Adobe Acrobat to read some of the PDF books I have on my computer, but it’s not the best for large documents.
Any recommendations?

Is this something that I need Adobe Acrobat for? Also, does Adobe Acrobat work life Photoshop where I have layers of the PDF file that I can work with and change? Is the editing style similar? I have someone who wants to do a brochure edit. Basically change the text and make the background a lighter color. Let me know what software I need to edit the PDF for these aspects. Thank you.
