Adobe Acrobat Professional Conversion Help!!!!!?

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

I am converting a Microsoft Word Document that has 11 pt. font using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. Well, every time that it is finished the conversion the font size in the PDF is reduced to 10.98 not the 11 pt like in the Word Doc. What settings do I need to change in order to keep the 11 pt. font?

I use this feature for grant submissions and it is an automated system with certain document requirements that keeps rejecting my applications because of this font issue. Thanks for your assistance!

I am looking for an alternative for PaperPort or Adobe Acrobat. I don’t want to spend $200/license.

Thanks!

Quality PDF creator and converter needed?

Finally stepped up to Win 7 64 bit on a fact quad core machine. So I’m upgrading my entire software platform. A major part of that is PDF creation and conversion.

I have an older version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (v7) but don’t want to pollute Win 7 with archaic software. But I’ve been out of the picture with recent software developments as my Win Xp platform has been rather robust and stable.

I see a ton of new PDF creators and am looking for input. It must support Win 7 64-bit. Vista 64bit support is not a viable substitute.

Must be able to print to pdf, scan to pdf, manage pdf files (page order, digital signing, securing documents, etc.
Must be office 2010 compatible.
Would like to be able to reverse engineer PDF into Word or Excel such as with SolidPDF.

Finally, must be affordable for a grad student. That means under say 80 bucks or have an affordable academic version.

Adobe, Nitro, Foxit, Primo, Cute… All are possibilities.

What are you using? What and why do you make your recommendation?
